Welkin YogaLife Institute is a safe haven for like-minded people to unite for the purpose of personal and spiritual growth. All levels of experience are welcome, as we offer personalized attention. Explore yoga and Nia, drum circles, meditation classes, lifestyle and practice workshops, self-realization and meditation programs, and Yoga Alliance certified training. Join our community through online, email, and telephone courses, as well. Several times per year, we hold in-depth, weekend- long yoga intensives to help people seeking transformation and clarity.
See life in a pure light and live to your fullest capacity. Our approach is to respect where you are coming from and offer education about lifestyle philosophy. This is not intended to be religious. If you practice religion, notice the many ways your experience at Welkin amplifies your current religious experience. If you are not religious, or even spiritual, you will enjoy the scientific reasoning and emphasis on personal experience. We are not trying to convince anyone of anything. We offer the inspiration and qualified instruction for you to explore deeper aspects of your self.
We teach a Classical style of yoga, based on the traditional texts. Our lineage is through the first public yoga centre in Mumbai, India. If you look at the yoga pose books from the 1800's, the models looked different from one another. Yoga was designed for everyone, not just lean, flexible youth. We teach yoga poses that suit your body and provide safe instructions on becoming comfortable in the postures.
It is our great joy and honour to offer the teachings of yoga to the Brantford community, as well as to the global Internet community of yoga practitioners.
