| Were we to imagine the traditions and styles of yoga as a tree - growing from strong roots and sprouting many branches, Classical Yoga (along with Hatha Yoga) would be the trunk of that tree. Classical Yoga offers a comprehensive approach to the practice of yoga. The Classical approach to yoga offers something for people of all abilities, ages, and backgrounds. It is clearly understood that "yoga", in the Classical approach, is not about how a posture looks on the outside; rather, it is a process of discovering a means to what is comforting and healthy for one's own self. Treasuring what the body is able to do, no matter how limited or free, is one of many Classical components.
Classical "Light" is excellent for newer students, those nursing injuries, or who experience limited mobility. It offers an opportunity for you to learn basic principles of breathing and yoga poses in a relaxed atmosphere. There is no pressure to achieve the impossible – only encouragement to improve your range of motion and expand yourself spiritually.

"Yoga class has benefit me very well; [I have] fewer back problems. I like the relaxing atmosphere and that you do your own thing. You don't have to be the best or perfect. Every time it's great and I get a message from [the Instructor]. I try to breathe well in nervous situations and take life easier during stress." ~Henny V.
