Crystal Journey

David's magical performances feature 15-20 Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls. Each produces the purest note; you have to hear them to believe it. These notes amplify the sounds of the other instruments: Vibraphone, Santoor, Chakra Chimes, and more. The etheric music is grounded by the gentle booms of 8-18 Paiste Gongs. Every gong features a strong fundamental note based on the orbital properties of the Sun, the Earth, the Moon, and the other planets. The intent of the performance is to create soothing, meditative, and healing music. Each one of David's performances is completely improvised and unique. The music attracts a full range of listeners.

What You Can Expect

The shows will take place in two 40 to 50 minute sets. David's usual set up includes 15-20 quartz crystal bowls, 8-10 Paiste Planet gongs, a vibraphone and an assortment of other tuned percussion instruments. Nothing is amplified, pre-recorded, or rehearsed. Each set and performance is sonically pure and unique (click to see some video clips). David records the shows on his high quality portable recorder and can make that recording available to you. CDs and other merchandise is available at the shows.

We invite you to take a seat or lay down as close to the instruments as possible to enjoy the greatest healing effect. You may bring a yoga mat, blanket and/or pillow, use one of ours, or sit in a chair. Where possible we encourage you to share rides and car pool. It not only saves gas but helps to reduce our carbon foot print on the earth and traffic.
