Course Intention:
Yoga meditation is geared to the beginner meditator by showing, step-by-step, how to slow down the mind. Exercises that ease a person into a meditative mindset help beginners avoid feeling overwhelmed by the intensity of thought that disturbs the mind. By sharing tools listed below in the lessons and practicing those tools, students will begin to quiet their minds and prepare them for meditation. Note that while this process is unending, knowing these tools can be a warm-up for the experienced meditator and will feel akin to meditation for the beginner.
All of our training programs are designed for students who want to deepen their practice. YogaLife's Meditation for Your Type aids people of all levels of experience by teaching tools to transform ingrained mental habits. Not all techniques work for all people so we experience the six basic types of meditation, as well as many movement, breathing, sensory, and emotional practices. Change your mind, change your life. Certification is an additional benefit for professionals.

Requirements
Layers of meaning are woven through each lesson. In the last three years of running these sessions, we have supported a range of students. From people with no previous experience to people who use these techniques in their professions to lifetime meditators, we have time and again received powerful positive feedback about the Meditation for Your Type program.
Practice
Each week you will receive suggestions for home practice. It is recommended that you spend 15 - 20 minutes per day working with the techniques. Remember, the intention of the program is to help you find the style(s) of meditation that suit your type. Through the course you will enjoy a range of techniques and practices to enrich your journey. One seminar per week plus one practice class per week gives you time with teachers and peers and share experiences and learning. Once per month a two-hour workshop will offer even more depth.

Summer Program: Skills to Maintaining a Personal Practice

This 10-week program is excellent for students interested in maintaining practice through the summer months and those who are considering our Meditation for Your Type Program.

- Face the issues that lie beneath the surface
- Release the past using gratitude and forgiveness
